Final Phase of Braddock Park Townhomes
Off to Fast Start With New Floorplans, Pricing.
By Edward Thomas
Final phase of the Braddock Park Townhomes neighborhood was kicked off in October in Hillsborough and has received an enthusiastic welcome with three new floor plans and affordable new pricing starting at $159,900.
James A. Moore, developer of the neighborhood community, said our first month of tours and sales has been "extremely encouraging. The market is responding very positively to what we have done here."
According to Moore the new floor plans have been "enthusiastically received." He said "our townhomes are especially well-suited for retired couples, singles or young families with a busy lifestyle."
Moore pointed out that the townhomes offer vaulted cathedral ceilings, open kitchens and "plenty of elbow room". He said there are three new basic floor plans with several variations. All are two-story. They range in size from 1,557 to 1,983 square feet of heated space plus private enclosed garages. All have porches or patios.
"The enclosed garages seem to be a very positive feature among our initial buyers," said Moore. "They also like that they can make quite a few of their own customized alterations within the open-architecture floor plans that we are offering."
The 1,983 sq. ft. Gaston Model has an especially popular floor plan according to Moore. It features a wraparound porch, bay windows, three-bedrooms an eat-in kitchen, private office or nursery, extra loft area and a two-car garage.
"One of the best things about our townhomes is the neighborhood," said Moore. "Hillsborough is a certainly a great place to live. The school district is excellent and the nearby historic downtown is charming. Plus, it's just a short drive from both Durham and Chapel Hill."
Moore said "The Eaton" floor plan, which features an expansive, ground-level master suite has also been a popular model. It's a three bedroom 2 ½ bath home with more than 1,800 sq. ft. It also offers a loft and space for a private office or 4th bedroom.
"The couples who have stopped by to look at our models have all been impressed with the spacious floor plans at such affordable prices," said Moore. "We have received lots of compliments. It's a great plan for young couples thinking about starting a family."
The townhomes themselves are clustered around the neighborhood's own private park to foster a comfortable sense of community. An on-site neighborhood swimming pool complex will be available to residents. Additionally, with Braddock Park being part of the Churton Grove Masterplan, residents have convenient access to the Churton Grove commercial center for shopping as well as miles of paved bicycle and jogging trails, playgrounds and community ball fields. A heavily wooded perimeter buffer is designed to maximize homeowner privacy.
Models are open for viewing every weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment at other times. Braddock Park is located at 2802 Bartlett Circle in Hillsborough near the intersection of St. Mary's Road and U.S. Highway 70 just north of the town's historic district.
